How to setup your private network
You probably wondered how to setup your private network... in an office, at home... these are the steps that you should follow.
1. go to settings -> network options and click properties on your network adapter
2. In general tab, select the manual ip address configuration
3. Local ip addresses should start with 192.168.x.x
3. Some of the ip address are reserved for statistics, configuration communication and for example your router probably uses 192.168.0.1 so useable i addresses are from range 192.168.0.2 till 192.168.0.254
4. Subnet mask marks the octets we are going to use, in our case it should be 255.255.255.0
5. Your default gateway should be the address of your router, so eg 192.168.0.1
Note: If you want to restrict internet access to a computer in your local network do not add the DNS servers.
6. Preferred DNS server and Alternative DNS server you should get from your internet provider (ISP), or just google then, they should be public.
When going on the next computer use the same logic, just increase the last digit in the ip address for 1. eg if your first computer has an ip address 192.168.0.10, next one should have 192.168.0.11 and so on.
If you dont know your default gateway, just open cmd and type ipconfig, there you will see this info.
